This program is for Candidates who have been instructed in their faith through catechetical preparation. Generally, candidates are in 8th grade or older. Candidates begin preparation in the fall, usually of their 8th-grade year, and are confirmed in October or November of the following year. Candidates attend classes two Sundays a month and must attend a retreat held at the parish in February. Sponsors and Parents are to attend an April meeting. The use of the Religion Curriculum Guide of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis in Religious education programs ensures that the foundational doctrine has been presented to these students.
Engaged couples must meet with the Pastor to complete initial marriage paperwork at least 9 months before the anticipated wedding date and prior to making any other arrangements concerning the wedding date. No date may be considered reserved until the initial meeting and the necessary paperwork have been completed. Call the parish office at (765) 932-2588 for an appointment.
