Originally known as the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the St. Mary's Food Pantry distributes food to hundreds of needy men, women, and children each year. This is a tremendous and necessary outreach program in our community. We are able to serve others through the parish's generous donations of food and money, as well as from community donors. Volunteers are needed to pick up groceries and prepare and distribute food bags.
Pick-up time is at 5:00 PM on Wednesdays at the garage on the northeast corner
of the St. Mary Catholic School parking lot, 226 E. 5th Street, Rushville.
You must call on either the Monday or Tuesday of that week for a food pick-up on Wednesday. Please bring a copy of a utility bill for proof of address and a photo ID. Those receiving food must be a resident of Rush County.
You can only receive food once every 30 days. One (1) order per household. A member living at the same address must pick up the food. We ask you to be on time when picking up your order.
These rules are effective July 27, 2017.
Thank you!
