The St. Mary Funeral Dinner Committee helps the family of the deceased by providing a lunch following the funeral. This service provides the family with a place to gather following the funeral. The food is solicited from the parish and served and the Knights of Columbus Hall. The parishioners and the committee provide the side dishes. desserts, drinks, and table service. The only cost to the family is the main dish and the rental of the hall.
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest fraternal service organization. It was founded by Michael J. McGivney in Connecticut in 1882. Guided by the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity, members of Columbus work to overcome the hardships that people face in their parishes and communities. We are men of faith and men of action.
The St. Mary Prayer Line is composed of men and women from our parish who are praying daily for prayer requests as they are notified. Anyone interested in becoming a part of the group is welcome. All requests for prayers are started with a call or text.
This committee seeks to be the face of Christ to all parishioners and newcomers. Activities in this committee include meeting regularly to discuss and plan implementations of this goal. Some examples include promoting Greeters for each Mass, sending a Welcome Packet to newcomers, and directing those interested to ministries within the church where they can best utilize their talents and abilities.
This is an organization of the women of the parish. We have two pitch-in dinners with a meeting and a program twice a year in October and May. We collect dues in April through the Church envelopes. We also sell RADA cutlery to generate income. Funds raised are used to provide liturgical goods for the parish such as vestments, linens, and sacred vessels. The blue Marian vestment and the Rose vestment were both purchased by the Sodality. We supply three quilts a year for the Fall Celebration. Most of the quilts are handmade and hand quilted by ladies of the parish.
